ABOUT DANTE
Dante Basco is a Filipino American film, television, and voice actor. He is best known for his contributions as Prince Zuko from Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender, Jake Long from Disney Channel's American Dragon: Jake Long, and Spin Kick from Carmen Sandiego. He can also be heard as Kwok Wong in The Proud Family, General Iroh in The Legend of Korra, and games such as Scarface: The World is Yours and Mortal Kombat X.
He began his acting career by taking on minor roles in television. Basco's breakout performance was as the leader Rufio of the Lost Boys in Steven Spielberg's 1991 film Hook with Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman. He had guest roles on television shows The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, and had a recurring role on Moesha. Basco starred in But I’m A Cheerleader, as well as Take the Lead, a 2006 film alongside Antonio Banderas. He had also portrayed a Filipino American, with his three brothers and sister, in an independent film The Debut.
ABOUT JOHN
John DiMaggio is an accomplished comedic actor whose television and film credits include voicing the "gambling, beer-guzzling, petty thief/pimp with a heart of Dolomite" Bender the Robot in Matt Groening’s multiple Emmy-award winning "Futurama" (in which he also won an Annie Award himself), Jake the Dog in the Cartoon Network worldwide smash ”Adventure Time with Finn and Jake", Jerry Jumbeaux Jr. and others in the Academy-award winning “ZOOTOPIA”, Mr. Grouse in Nickelodeon’s “Loud House”, Amazon’s “Comrade Detective”, The Joker in "Batman: Under The Red Hood", Rico in "The Penguins of Madagascar", Aquaman and Gorilla Grodd in "Batman: The Brave and the Bold”, Dr. Drakken and Motor Ed in Disney Channel's "Kim Possible”, Wayne on IFC's "Out There”, “Wreck-It-Ralph” and “Ralph Wrecks The Internet”, "American Dad”, Shnitzel in "Chowder”, Crosshairs in “TRANSFORMERS: Age of Extinction”, ”Princess Mononoke”, "The Simpsons”, "The Animatrix”, "Teen Titans”, “Pig Goat Banana Cricket”, “Gravity Falls”, and Disney XD's "Kick Buttowski – Suburban Daredevil”, among many others. He is currently playing King Zôg on Matt Groening’s new Netflix series “DISENCHANTMENT”, and yes it’s true that it’s good to be the king…
Mr. DiMaggio has also appeared on “Superior Donuts”, "Modern Family", "The Newsroom", "Chicago Hope", "ER", "Law & Order", "NYPD Blue", "Without a Trace", "CSI: NY" and "My Name is Earl”, as well as a bunch of pilots that weren’t his fault that didn’t make the cut. Ouch.
He has also voiced many video games including Marcus Fenix in the "Gears of War" franchise, for which he won Best Male Voice Over in a Video Game in 2006, “Destiny 2”, “Halo Wars 2”, ”The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction", "X-Men Legends", "Final Fantasy 10-12", and many, many more. Also, no one cares about that Hulk game.
In 2012, John executive produced the documentary film I KNOW THAT VOICE. The doc is a VIP backstage pass into the often overlooked world of voice-over actors. It was the recipient of The Certificate of Merit Annie Award from ASIFA-Hollywood in 2014. He is still in the red on that one, but doesn’t regret it.
He additionally has extensive stage credits in international theater and stand-up comedy. Dave Chappelle (and everyone in mid 90’s NYC) used to hate following him, just ask Dave (no lie). He currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife, actress Kate Miller, and a couple of fur babies. One of his favorite hobbies is writing his own bio, as well as stopping and starting smoking tobacco products over and over again.
