LAUNDRY DAY
Formed in Manhattan in 2018, LAUNDRY DAY is more than just your modern indie-pop boy band. With roots going back to a high school friend group, the band saw themselves selling out New York City venues and touring their debut album Trumpet Boy before even graduating high school. LAUNDRY DAY’s stunning emergence can be defined by their genre-defying, multi-instrumental talents that merge inspiring synth-pop with nostalgic melodies. By 2019, the band was already performing at Austin City Limits and Tyler, the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Festival, as well as opening for The 1975 and Clairo on their respective tours.
LAUNDRY DAY has drawn in an earnest crowd through their next-gen sound as well as their extroverted approach to sharing music. The band’s popular TikTok page, which features viral covers and videos of their vibrant personalities, introduced many listeners to their authentic appeal and is just one factor that solidified their place in contemporary music. Striking festival performances at Lollapalooza and Governors Ball along with rave reviews on their emotional latest studio album Younger Than I Used To Be prove to be only early markers of the band’s success. LAUNDRY DAY, clearly on the rise to imminent stardom, presents what today’s audiences are seeking out the most: authenticity, friendship, and seriously good tunes.
